The best treatments are utilized to improve your quality of life. Pain is a mechanisms that envelopes people's life.  It lets you know that something is wrong.   In prolonged pain, this pain mechanism can be detrimental.  It can lead to medication related side effects, hormonal imbalance, inability to function at work, chronic pain memory, sleep disturbances, strained relationships, and depression.

When medications are given, they affect your entire system.  They have limited efficacy and high risk of side effects, such as weight gain, tolerance, dependence, addiction.  Sometimes taking certain types of medications causes people to have additional pain or headache.

Surgery is indicated for certain patients, who have a high chance for successful pain relief after surgery.  Surgery is not indicated, if the risk of making the pain worse is higher than the chance for success.

By identifying the sources of your pain, we can focus care and treatment to the specific reason for your pain.  Procedures, which localize the pain generator, decrease inflammation, ablate nerves, stimulate pain inhibition nerves, are now performed in same day, minimally invasive manner. Most patients will walk in and then walk out on the day of procedure/surgery.
